Melinda Ann Jones, 38, passed into the arms of Jesus on Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, November 27th from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Chancellor Funeral Home in Florence. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Prattville Memorial Chapel in Prattville, AL with visitation one-hour prior beginning at 10:00. Burial will follow in Prattville Memorial Gardens.
Melinda was born February 19, 1982 in Prattville, AL to Randy and Karen Wright. She worked as the manager of her family’s business, Wright’s Fruit Stand in Richland for many years. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed painting, drawing, and the band U2. She loved her family, especially her little niece, Maizie.
Melinda is preceded in death by her father, Randy Wright. She is survived by her husband, Cory Jones of Richland; her mother, Karen Wright of Richland; sister, Melissa Wright of Richland; her niece, Maizie; and numerous other extended family members and a host of friends.
