PAUL J CARPENTER

Paul J. Carpenter, 71, of Harleysville, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 21, 2020. He was the loving husband of Theresa “Terry” (Grabowski) Carpenter. They married July 26, 1980 and were into their 40th year of a wonderful marriage.
Born October 24, 1949, in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Sam and Dolores (Glass) Carpenter.
Paul was a retired Navy Chief with 25 years of service. Whether on a military vessel, a cruise ship, a jet ski, or a pontoon boat – his heart was with the water!
He was considered a second generation chocolatier, who was known for making the absolute best candy and fudge.
Paul considered himself a very simple Christian man with a solid trust in God, who continually professed “God is in control and makes no mistakes”.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three children, Brian J. (Christine), Indiana, PA, Paul J. Carpenter II (Alyssa), Hollidaysburg, PA, and Nathaniel J. Carpenter (Angelica), Winter Park, FL: grandchildren Daniel, Colin and Aston; siblings, Sam Carpenter (Jackie), Johnstown, PA, Patrick Carpenter (Deb), Bethany, CT, Keith Carpenter (Tracy), Johnstown, PA, and Debra Carpenter, OH.
The family will receive friends during a drive through visitation Saturday, November 28, 2020, from 2 to 3:00 p.m., at Huff & Lakjer Funeral Home, 701 Derstine Ave., Lansdale, PA 19446. For those attending the visitation it is asked that you remain in your vehicle as you approach the Funeral Home. You will be directed how to proceed by our supporting staff. During this time you will be able to view Paul’s flag draped casket, sign the register book and talk with the family.
Private Services will follow the visitation inside the Funeral Home for immediate family only.
