On Monday, November 23, 2020, Carol Jean Alec, widow and Mother of seven children passed into the care of our Lord at the age of 86.

Carol was born on June 12, 1934 in Stilwell, Oklahoma to James and Nancy Grigsby. Carol was the 5th of 10 children, having 3 brothers and 6 sisters. She attended Chilocco Indian School. She married Elgie Alec in September of 1957.

Carol worked for Bama Pie Co. for 17 years and retired from there in 1996. Carol loved to attended church and Pow Wows and loved listening to Gospel and Country music. She loved to cook (fried bread and biscuits and gravy). She loved to crochet and made each one of her grandkids a blanket. She loved to take care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Each one has many loving memoires of the time spent with their “Nana”.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Elgie, two baby brothers, her sisters: Dorothy Hogner, and Virginia Guttillo, brothers: Roy Grigsby, Winford “Sonny” Grigsby, and Donald “Bud” Grigsby, two babies that went on to be with the Lord and grandchild: Daniel.

Carol is survived by her five children: David Alec, Michael Grigsby (Alec), Sherri (Alec) Horbath, Kimberly Alec, and Pamela Alec-Adams, grandchildren: Keenan Riddle, Kevin Alec, Tabby Grigsby, Nes Grigsby, Monica Houston, Tonya Schaefer, Jason Riley, LaDonna Wynn, Scott Hunt, Cathy Hunt, Timothy Hunt, Sara Hipp, Madelin Adams, 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
