Paul D. Hawkins, 85, of Rock Island passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Bickford Cottage, Moline.
Private family services will be 12pm, Monday, November 30, 2020 at Rafferty Funeral Home, Moline where his live-streamed service can be viewed on Rafferty Funeral Home’s Facebook page. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorials may be made to the family.
Paul was born September 13, 1935 in Cash, AR, the son of John Edward and Mettie Novella (Dement) Hawkins. He married Dorothy L. Coots on November 12, 1955 in Cash, AR. She preceded him in death on January 21, 2018.
Paul worked at Eagle Warehouse retiring after 30 years where he was also a Union Steward. Paul enjoyed upholstery and was a handyman.
Survivors include his children, Victor (Patti) Hawkins, Milan, Timothy (Uschi) Hawkins, Middletown, OH, Christopher Hawkins, Rock Island, Terry (Melody) Hawkins, Rock Island, Stephen (Marla) Hawkins, Rock Island, Stephanie (Jason) Stout, Moline and Rachel (Ken) Welty, Canal Winchester, OH; 17 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby Glen Hawkins and siblings, Alvie Osterman, “Pete” Cecil Osterman, Gertie Novella Hawkins, Robert Edward Hawkins, Joy Bell Hawkins, Leon Hawkins, Mary Kathleen Hawkins and Harrell Douglas Hawkins.
