Kenneth Leroy Brewer (Ken or Kenny), age 62, passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, November 20, 2020 in his home. The Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00PM, Saturday, November 28, 2020 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri. Memorial Contributions in Kenneth’s name can be made to the Jet Volunteer Fire Department in care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on October 30, 1958 in Oklahoma at Enid General Hospital to Joann & McBride (Mac) Brewer. Kenneth was a 1977 graduate of Jet-Nash High School. He went on to attend Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Oklahoma where he received an Associate of Science in Forestry. He also then went on to attend State Fair Community College in Sedalia, Missouri where he received another Associate of Science in Building Material and Management. Kenneth then returned back to his hometown in Jet, Oklahoma to manage the family business, Jet Lumber Company, as owner and President for 25 years. Kenneth served 14 years as a volunteer firefighter and held the position of Secretary/Treasurer. His proudest accomplishments included- attaining a third degree black belt in Okinawan Goju-ryu karate; designing and constructing his first home where he and his wife started their family.

Kenneth was known by his family and friends as having a magnetic personality. He was fun loving, wild and adventurous, courageous and thoughtful. You would always find him outdoors - whether that was storm watching, water skiing, golfing, hunting, riding his motorcycle, tinkering in his shed, or telling jokes and stories with friends and family. Kenneth was the first person folks would call when they needed help and he never met a stranger.

Kenneth is survived by his wife Liz, of the home for 35 years; his children, Meagan and Zachary; his sister, Annette Anderson, her husband, Jimmy, their sons, Jae and Jaron. He was preceded in death by his parents Joann and Mac Brewer.
