Errol spent two seasons at Chelsea from Dec 1961 to Nov 1963. Signed from Portadown as deputy to Peter Bonetti. After finding his opportunities restricted he joined Glanavon

He was there first choice goalkeeper in the sixties and early seventies. Errol made his Glenavon debut on November 9th 1963 in a 2-1 City Cup win against Ballymena United at Mournview Park, going on to make almost 400 appearances for the Lurgan Blues in a career spanning 13 seasons.
