Abilene, Texas - Juanita E. Maxwell, 82, of Abilene, passed away Saturday, September 29, 2007, at a local care center.

Chapel services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, October 3, at Community Memorial Funeral Home, 1443 N. 2nd St. Burial will follow at Elmwood Memorial Park with Rev. Tommy Culwell officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday evening, October 2, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Juanita was born in Baird, Texas, on October 30, 1924, to Frank and Willie M. (Goble) Brown. She married Robert W. Maxwell, Jr. in 1941. He preceded her in death. Juanita was a homemaker and a member of Belmont Baptist Church.

She is survived by four daughters, Betty Richardson and Bobby Lang, both of Abilene, Brenda Nelson of Cross Plains and Leslie Gardner and husband, Mark, of Abilene; one brother, Loye Dalton Brown of Cross Plains; 12 grandchildren and 21 grea-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Roland D. and Neil Brown; and a sister, Patsy Mae Teague.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Abilene Adult Day Care Center, 3518 So. 7th St., Abilene, TX 79605.
