Doris Jean McKee, 84, of Taylorsville, Mississippi, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at her home. She was born Tuesday, June 16, 1936, in Raleigh, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 27, 2020, at 11:30 a.m. at Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Mineral Springs Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Sidney Davis will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. (601) 785-6564

Mrs. McKee was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Taylorsville. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed painting, deer hunting, and fishing. She was an active member in the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed auctions and yard sales. She will be greatly missed by her loving son and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton Drummond and Myrtle Hollingsworth Drummond; one son, James Dorwin “Dodie” Blakeney; one brother, Leon Drummond; and two sisters, Bradys Drummond Tramel and Inez Drummond Brister.

Survivors include her loving son, Terry Neal Blakeney of Taylorsville; one niece, Shelia Benigar and husband, Shorty of Texas; four nephews, Larry Tramel and wife Annette of Jackson, Mississippi, Richard Tramel of Jackson, Mississippi, Tony Brown of Brandon, Mississippi, and Joey Brown of Jackson, Mississippi; and a host of other family members and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mark Ainsworth, Kyle Ainsworth, Scotty Clark, Dextris Barnett, Chad Boykin, and Mitch Creel.
