Thomas Ellis, 94, of Zolfo Springs, FL passed away on November 22nd, 2020. He was born on April 20th, 1926 in Tennille, Alabama to the late Gus E. and Maudie Mae Ellis and was a member of the Zolfo Springs community for more than 60 years.

For many years, Thomas worked for the Florida Department of Transportation in road and bridge maintenance; as well as working in the citrus industry and as a farmer. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Thomas is survived by his wife of 73 years, Clara Mae Ellis; his son, Donnie R. Ellis of Zolfo Springs, FL; Cynthia Ellis (Billy A.) Johnson of Sebring, FL; two grandchildren, Kimberly Ellis and Sandee Tilley; and one great grandchild, Jackson Ellis Richard.

A private burial officiated by Rev. Albert Blum will be held at Wauchula City Cemetery where Thomas will be laid to rest with military honors.
