He was born September 16, 1944 in Columbus, South Carolina the son of the late Marvin Almus and Mildred Louise Gainey Richardson. He grew up in Jacks Creek and attended schools in Chester County. He joined the U.S. Navy in March of 1962 and served 3 ½ years. He married Lois Boone Brooks on July 8, 1983. They made their home in Jackson. He was a plumber and carpenter, building houses.
He enjoyed fishing, camping and reading. He loved animals, especially his dogs and cats.
Mr. Richardson is survived by his wife, Lois Marie Boone Richardson of Jackson; stepmother, Betty Jo Richardson of Jacks Creek, TN.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Burial in Johnson Crossroads.
