Juan C. Cabrera, Sr., 83, passed away Monday, November 23, 2020 at his home. He was born May 6, 1937 in the Philippines to the late Melchor and Petra Cabrera.

Juan worked as a psychiatrist in the medical community for many years. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Juan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Conchita Cabrera; sons, Juan (Michelle) Cabrera, Jr. and Emmanuel (Kae) Cabrera; daughters, Corazon (Eric) Hazlett and Annabelle Lynn Cabrera; grandchildren, Miriam Francis Hazlett, Stephen John Hazlett, Adam Hazlett, Marissa Jane Cabrera, and Patty Kaesornsiri; brother, Jose Cabrera; and sister, Flora Cabrera.

In addition to his parents, Juan was preceded in death by his brother, Pat Cabrera.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue. A Memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home Wednesday, November 25, 2020 with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1301 Green River Road with Father Bernie Etienne officiating. The Mass will be live streamed on the Ziemer Funeral Home and Cremation Services’ Facebook page 20 minutes prior to the start of the service. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum.
