Obituary for David Morgan Bush Sr.
David Morgan Bush, Sr. was born June 30, 1967 in Saugus, California to Darrell Bush and Joyce (Hemmingsen) Bush. He passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at his Okmulgee home. David was 53 years of age. He worked in produce at the grocery store and Wal-Mart while in school. After graduating from Okmulgee High School in 1986, David joined the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country and received an Honorable Discharge on November 23, 1990. He later worked for the Street Department for the City of Okmulgee and Okmulgee County. He enjoyed NASCAR, watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers and shooting pool. David married Sammi (Holmes) Bush on July 14, 2007 in Henryetta.

Preceding David in death were his grandparents, Darrell and Jean Bush and Charles and Joy Hemmingson, father, Darrell Douglas Bush, brother, Dean Douglas Bush, step-father, Leroy Burklin, father-in-law, Clifford Holmes, uncles, Ralph and Mike Bush and Danny and Alvin Sossman and a daughter, Brittny Christine Nicole Bush.

Survivors include his mother, Joyce Bush Burklin, wife, Sammi Bush, children, David Bush, Jr. and wife Jenny, Nicole Garrett, Matthew Finley and Jacob Finley, grandchildren, Brendon and Braylee Bush, Keagan Thompson and one on the way, siblings, Debbie Heard and husband Dewayne and Darel Bush, a step-brother, Jimmy Burklin, step-mother, Ramona Faye Bush, step-brother, Cory Love, mother-in-law, Judy Holmes, brother-in-law, Chris Holmes and sisters-in-law, Jessica Holmes and Kimberly Holmes.

Viewing will begin at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday at the Compass Assembly of God Church in Okmulgee followed by a service at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Rex McDowell officiating. Interment will follow in the Okmulgee Cemetery where Navy Funeral Honors will be performed. Casketbearers will be Kyle Bush, Len Payne, Chris Holmes, Chad Teeters, Rylan Salyer and Travis Corn. Honorary casketbearers will be David Bush, Jr., Darel Bush, Clifford Holmes, Dewayne Heard, Tim Thompson and David Harry Bush.
