Eric Scott Kennedy 21, born April 30, 1986 went to be with God on September 28, 2007, as the result of an automobile accident. He is experiencing the next phase in the journey of Life. Eric is a wonderful loving man. Being with his friends and family is one of his greatest joys. Now that Eric is one with nature, he can continue to enjoy this other great love, the outdoors. Be comforted in knowing that Eric is with us when we are enjoying the outdoors.
Eric was senior in the Honors Program studying Forestry/Wildlife at Western New Mexico University after graduating from Siler High School in 2004. He received a scholarship to play football at Western and played through his junior year, opting to devote his senor year to his studies.
Eric's loving family includes his parents, Scott and Denise Kennedy; brother, John and wife Crystal, sister, Kristen; Grandparents, Carl and Sudie Kennedy-Ruhne; Grandmother, Mitzi Roberts; niece and nephews, Kylee, Matt and Joshua Kennedy; Goddaughter, Mariah Jay; aunts and uncles, Lindy and Shawn Kennedy-Trainor; Godmother, Lauren and Pete Peterson, Kelly and Aaron Ernsberger, Godfather Rusty and Buff Roberts, David Roberts and Godmother Kathy and Ed Ludwig; and his cousins Farrah, Kendra, Jessica, Bella, Elsa, Bruce, Gentry, Brooks, Cameron, Desirae, Eddie and Shawn.

Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2007 from 5 until 7 PM at Baca's Funeral Chapels. The Service of Resurrection will be held Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 2 o'clock in the afternoon at the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, corner of 7th and Texas St., Silver City. The concluding rites and committal will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery. Fr. Robert Ihlefeld, Rector, will officiate.
