Joy Marie Latham Taylor, age 89, of Dallas, Texas, died Saturday, November, 21, 2020, at the Colonial Oaks Senior Living Center in Garland, Texas.
Mrs. Taylor was born September 16, 1931, in Palestine, Arkansas, and was the daughter of James A. Latham Sr. and Pearl Perkins Latham. She was the youngest of nine children.
Mrs. Taylor is survived by one daughter, Terry L. Burnett of Sachse, Texas, one son, David Taylor of Madison, Mississippi, one brother, John C. Latham of Pine Tree, one sister, Thelma M. Latham of Dallas, Texas, one sister-in-law, Annie Sue Latham of Forrest City, two grandsons; Kyle Burnett, and wife, Stephanie, of Little Elm, Texas, and Jeff Burnett of Carrollton, Texas, two great-grandsons; Keegan Burnett and Knox Burnett, both of Little Elm, Texas, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; James and Pearl Perkins Latham, three brothers; Arlie Latham of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Clayton Latham and Lloyd Latham, both of Forrest City, three sisters; Gladys Gill of Cisco, Texas, Dora Jones of Garland, Texas, and Virgie McClain of Chairton, Iowa, and one son-in-law, Eddie Burnett of Sachse, Texas.
Services for Mrs. Taylor will be held Graveside, 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, at the Bell Cemetery in Palestine. Visitation will be Tuesday 10:00 A.M., at Stevens Funeral Home until the time of the service
