Diane Kay Dennis, 46, of Warsaw, Ill., died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.

She was born on Nov. 22, 1959, in Grundy Center, the daughter of Byrl and Bernice DeGraff Dodd. On June 30, 1984, she was united in marriage to Tim Dennis at the Bel Air Baptist Church in Keokuk. He survives.

She is also survived by three children, Matthew, Jenna and Alaina Dennis, all of Warsaw; her mother, Bernice Dodd of Dike; three brothers, Duane Dodd and his wife Kathy of Milford, Daryl Dodd and his wife Amy of Anaconda, Mont., and Dennis Dodd and his wife Jane of Dike; her father-in-law, Russell Dennis of Warsaw; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father and her mother-in-law, Virginia Dennis.

Diane graduated from Dike Community High School in Dike with the class of 1978. She graduated from Dordt College in Sioux Center in 1982.

She had been employed at the Keokuk Area Hospital in Keokuk for 25 years, working in the laboratory as the Chemistry Supervisor.

Diane was a faithful and active member of the Bel Air Baptist Church where she served as the organist.
She enjoyed participating in 4-H activities with her children and riding horses. Diane was a loving wife and mother and was devoted to caring for her family.

Funeral services were 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, at the Bel Air Baptist Church in Keokuk, with Pastor Mike McMillan and Pastor Matt Ooms officiating. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation was at Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.

Memorials may be made to the Dennis Children's Education and Care Fund, which has been established at the Hill Dodge Banking Co., 501 Main, Warsaw, IL.
