The death of Gordon E. Clements of Baxters Corner, husband of the late Betty (Speight) Clements, occurred on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, son of the late Frederick and Maud (Andrews) Clements, Gordie (Rowdy) was employed as a grader operator for 31 years with the Province of New Brunswick and the City of Saint John. He was a member of the Barnesville Presbyterian Church. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was a friend to all those who knew him. He is survived by four sons, Donald (Anne), Daniel (Sharon), Robert (Janice) and Richard (Annette) Clements, all of Upper Loch Lomond, and four daughters, Judy (Roy) Carleton of Clover Valley, Dale (Ron) McCarthy of Loch Lomond Road, Roxanne (Danny) Burchill and Tammy (Andy) Dort, both of Clover Valley, 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, one brother, Malcolm (Dorothy) McCormick of Blackville, N.B. and one sister Arvilla (Norm) Love of Abbotsford, B.C., sister-in-law Judy Clements of Rodney, Ontario, and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Walter Clements. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424) Saint John, NB with visiting on Monday and Tuesday, December 22 and 23, 2003 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 24, 2003 from Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 am. Following cremation interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Barnesville Presbyterian Church 1257 Route 820 Barnesville, NB or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.brenansfh.com
