Mrs. Cox was born on Friday, March 24, 1950 in Henderson County to the late Eligh Marion and Elowease Ersula (Corn) Baldwin. On September 15, 1987 in Hendersonville, she married her loving husband of 31 years, Mr. Gary “Wayne” Cox who died, January 26, 2019. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant for over 30 years before retiring in 2012 and was a faithful member of the christian faith. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Rhonda Baker and her husband, Richard of Mills River, NC and 2 grandsons, Nicholas and Jake Baker also of Mills River; 2 brothers, Carl Baldwin and his wife, Linda of Hendersonville and Dal Baldwin and his wife, Brenda of Zirconia, NC and 2 sisters, Betty Mead and Woody Barton of Pisgah Forest, NC.
In addition to her husband and parents she is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Pamela James and her sister, Kathleen Baldwin.
A service to celebrate Mrs. Cox’s life will be two o’clock Friday afternoon, July 19, 2019 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Brent Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
