Sara Ruth Hill Jefferson entered her eternal home on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 11:33am. Sarah was born February 1, 1932 in Vaiden, Mississippi to the late Sarah Ann Magdalena Williams and the late Jessie Lee Hill.
Sarah was one of 18 children, including Alice, Muenell, Mildred, Annie, Hattie, Buddy, Henry, Joe, Clarice, among 8 other brothers and sisters who died while still young.
She was preceded in death by her youngest son, Jeffrey Hill and her grandson, Carlos Hill.
Sarah left six children to cherish her memory: Mary Harris (Jake), Millie Stevenson (Albert), Aaron Hill, Gary Hill, Lisa Hill, and Ricky Hill. She is also remembered by her 15 grandchildren: Dwayne Fox, Cory Fox (Lisa), Antreè Fox, Carlos Hill, Tommy Campbell, Stephon Hill (Hope), Tia Hill, Natasha Adams (Matthew), Candice Anderson (Ed), Tremaine Hill, Sarah Hill, Travis Stevenson, Sammie Hill, Todd Jarrett, and Talesha Hill. These grandchildren blessed Sarah with 20 great-grandchildren, the youngest being born on the day of her passing.
Visitation: 9am-11am Monday, November 23, 2020 at Burnett Ave. Baptist Church, 6800 So. Hurstbourne Pkwy., with the funeral service to follow at 11am. Burial: Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements by A. D. Porter Funeral Home.
