Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel with Missionary Preacher; Curtis Leyshon officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 PM prior to the service at Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mr. Walker was born July 8, 1940 in Wilkes County to Elisha Winferd and Grace Parsons Walker. He retired from Tyson after 33 years of service. He loved restoring and collecting old cars, enjoyed looking at his Texas longhorns and spending time with family and his dogs.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters; Frances Gay and Grace Vaught and three brothers; Junior Curtis, Eddie Curtis and George Curtis.
He is survived by his wife; JoAnn Farrington Walker of the home, a daughter; Rebecca Huffman and husband Robert of Millers Creek, step-granddaughter; Lori Parsons and husband Mark of Wilkesboro and step-great granddaughter; Emma Parsons of Winston-Salem, a sister; Helen W. Ferguson of Millers Creek, a brother; Basil Walker and wife Gail of Hilton Head Island, SC, two sisters-in-law; Maxine Curtis of Millers Creek and Lou Curtis of Elkton, FL, and his fur-babies; Rowdy and Blackie.
