Barbara grew up in the Nazarene Church, and later attended Open Bible, Assembly of God and Church of God. She was a devoted daughter and friend. Barbara enjoyed caring for many in her home, particularly her beloved mother. She was a people watcher, enjoying watching life go by over a cup of coffee. Barbara worked inside and outside of her home as a domestic engineer, cleaning various homes and businesses. She was an amazing homemaker who loved to cook and bake and invited all to her table. Barbara was very artistic and was phenomenal at crafting and decorating. She loved her family dearly and will be greatly missed by all.
Barbara is survived by her son, Calvin William Hoover; a daughter, Georgena Lynn Tamaska; a granddaughter, Audra Rae Tamaska; three great grandchildren, Mila Grace, Fiona Claire and Owen Giles Gillam; and other numerous family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Leonard Monroe Seal.

A visitation will be held on Friday, November 27, 2020 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Funeral Service will follow the visitation at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Barbara will be laid to rest following services at Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
