Kyle Wayne Henson, son of Gary W. and Michelle Jackson Henson, was born January 21, 1988, in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Friday, September 28, 2007, in St. John's Hospital, in Joplin, Missouri, from injuries received in a motorcycle accident in Carl Junction, Missouri, at the age of nineteen years, eight months, and seven days.
Kyle is survived by his parents, Gary and Brenda Henson, of Joplin, Missouri, and Michelle Jackson; three brothers, Shane and Reggie Ellis, both of Joplin, Missouri, and Randy Kuhn, of Grovespring, Missouri; his paternal grandparents, Bob and Marie Henson, of Lebanon, Missouri; his maternal grandparents, Hazel Rhoads, of Joplin, Missouri, and Robert and Susie Alford, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was raised in the Lebanon, Missouri community and then moved with his family to Joplin, Missouri. He graduated from Joplin High School in the Class of 2007, and was currently working for Thermal Engineering in Joplin.
Kyle had made his profession of faith in Christ and was baptized in the Harmony Heights Baptist Church in Joplin. He had been attending the Calvary Church of the Nazarene in Joplin.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He liked riding motorcycles and tractors and also doing bicycle stunt riding. He possessed an outgoing personality, liked being spontaneous, and never held a grudge. He was very close to his family and was a likeable and loving young man who always wanted to make people happy. He was particularly fond of his special pet, "Otis", the Bassett Hound.
Kyle was a loving son, brother, grandson, and nephew, and was a kind and caring friend to many. He will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.


Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 2, 2007, in the Lebanon Church of the Nazarene. Burial will be in the Dotson Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri. Memorials to the Calvary Nazarene Church Youth Ministry may be made through the funeral home.
