Robert James Le Febvre, Sr., 70, of Vero Beach, FL, formerly of Virginia Beach, VA died Wednesday, September 26, 2007, in the Hospice House of Vero Beach, FL, as a result of a long hard battle with heart and lung disease. He was born May 17, 1937, in Industry, PA, a son of Lawrence and Cecelia Merdian Le Febvre.

He was retired from the United States Navy as a Senior Chief after 30 years of service and 5 years with MWR Oceana Naval Air Station as Maintenance Foreman.

He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, Fleet Reserve and a plank owner of the Navy Memorial.

He was an avid hunter with the Woods and Waters Hunt Club, Fisherman, Boating enthusiasts and collector of unique memorabilia.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years Judith Creese Le Febvre, three sons Robert Jr. (Bobby) and his wife Corey of Norfolk, VA, John (Randy) and his wife Brandi of Chesapeake, VA, Patrick (Rick) and his wife Betty of Myrtle Beach, SC; nine Grandchildren, Robert III of Jacksonville, FL, Alan of Norfolk, VA, Christopher of Moyock, NC, Rebecca of Hutchinson, KS, Emily of Richmond, VA, Patrick Jr. and Jason of Myrtle Beach, SC, Connor and Dylan of Chesapeake, VA, two great-grandchildren Emily of Jacksonville, FL and Blake of Hutchinson, KS, two Brothers, William of Darlington, PA and Donald of Beaver Falls and two sisters Josephine Brooks of Midland and Betty Griffith of Vanport.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Lawrence Jr., Daniel, Leo, Armand "Gus", and Eugene, and three sisters Mary Margaret Anderson, Cecelia Jones, and Agnes Woodyard.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening, October 3, 2007, at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. Laskin Road Chapel, VA Beach, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, October 4, 2007, at the Holy Family Catholic Church, 1279 N Great Neck Road, VA Beach, VA. Burial will take place immediately following at the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Veterans Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bob's memory to the American Heart Association.
