Charlie was a retired parts runner and scale operator for Nugent Sand Company in Louisville, Kentucky, where he worked for 30 years and was a member of the Springdale United Methodist Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He served in the Indiana Army National Guard, enjoyed reading his bible and the Hallmark movie channel. Charlie loved going on car rides with his daughters and he enjoyed spending time in Michigan with his daughter Tonya and family.
Survivors include two daughters, Tonya E. Pyles of Howell, Michigan and Loretta J. Marlin of New Albany, Indiana; a sister, Edith Achelpohl of Arizona and two grandchildren, Cassandra and Nathan Pyles.
Charlie’s Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, November 24th, at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor David Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Bethany Baptist Cemetery near Deputy, Indiana.
