Carol Ann Franklin, 57, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2018. Raised in New York, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale Salimeno and Joan Mullally Salimeno and was also preceded in death by her brother, Dave Salimeno. In her adult life, she later lived in the Sandston and Chester area. Her passion was gardening and worked as a gardener in a local nursery, and enjoyed searching for antiques. Carol was a gentle and kind soul who never met a stranger. She is survived by her husband, David Rossie Franklin, Sr.; her children, Jennifer Evans, Jeremy LeBleu, Dana LeBleu; her step-children, Phillip Franklin, David Franklin, and Rebecca Ann Franklin; grandchildren, Jackson and Jacob Evan's. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Chester Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23834. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Centralia Cemetery.
