She was born on Nov. 30, 1920, in Needham, Mass., the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Amelia (Rau) Hallsworth.
Amy was a teachers aide for over 10 years with the City of Manchester. She was also a very dedicated volunteer at Elliot Hospital for 40 years, logging over 7,500 hours of service.
Mrs. Powers was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
Amy enjoyed walking, bowling and playing tennis.
Family members include her two sons, Minot L. "Lee" Powers III and Charles Powers, both of Manchester; two daughters, Susan L. Powers of Bristol, Conn., and Jane L. Dobrowski of Greer, S.C.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Marjorie Curran of Marlborough, Mass.; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 42 years, Minot L. Powers Jr.
