Jean Balderston passed away peacefully on August 21, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband Norm; parents Tom and Florence Humphrey; sister Florence Hemsworth and brother Doug Humphrey; daughter in law Lorie; sister in laws Marg Balderston, Lillian Balderston and Florence Humphrey; brothers-in-law Buck Rogers, Spence Hemsworth, Reg Balderston and Bert Balderston. She is survived by her sons Dennis (Beth), Greg and their families; sister Doris Rogers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean was born in Moose Jaw on July 30, 1918. She attended school in Parkbeg and graduated from high school in Outlook. Jean was a avid sportswoman especially enjoying golf and curling. She was a member of the 1963 Saskatchewan curling team at the Canadian Curling Championships. She was the Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director of the Saskatchewan Curling Association from 1966 to 1980. Jean was a member of the Zion United Church, Rebekah Lodge and the Hillcrest Sports Centre. She will be remembered for her love of family and family gatherings.

Celebration of Jean's life held at Zion United Church on September 1, 2007.
