Bradley “Brad” Jon Jones age 57 passed away on September 24, 2020 after succumbing to injuries suffered from a fall.

Brad was born on November 20, 1962 in Sisseton, South Dakota to Charlotte and Boyd Jones. He graduated from Huron High School where he met the love of his life Jodi. Before Jodi could pursue asking Brad to her Junior Homecoming, she had to gain the approval of one of Brad’s best friends, Jeff, who also happened to be Jodi’s older brother. Jeff conceded, saying that if he were to pick one of his friends for his little sister to date, it would have been Brad – and so ensued Brad and Jodi’s budding romance. The two were married in 1986 in their hometown of Huron.

Graduating from South Dakota State University – as an avid Jackrabbits fan - in 1985, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Brad began his professional career as a Civil Engineer with the Illinois Department of Transportation. Jodi and Brad moved to the Twin Cities in 1988 where Brad continued his career at TKDA. There he worked as an engineer, project manager, and client relations manager. He took pride in collaborating with coworkers and clients in completing meaningful projects.

The kryptonite in this superhero’s life were his two children. Throughout their childhood, he spent countless hours coaching sports, helping with homework, playing card games and of course, attending as many sporting events as possible. Brad never failed to make his children know just how proud of them he was. Brad’s love for his extended family was evident through his trips down memory lane of Christmases at the Vig farm, holidays with the Jones side (emphasis on the Cranberry pudding!), and the famous Wales trip.

Despite being an only child, Brad found true brothers and sisters in his childhood friendships. His wit, charm, and kind heart fostered companionships with coworkers, members of his church, and members of his surrounding community. Brad will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father, and a fierce and loyal friend.

Private Funeral Service for family and friends will be held on Monday, October 5th. Private Interment. Holcombe-Henry-Boom-Purcell Funeral Home.
