Patricia Brown Kirby
Mar 2, 1958 - Nov 8, 2020

A long time native of Texas, Patricia (Patty) Diane Brown, was born March 2, 1958 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Houston, Texas and died on November 8, 2020 at her home in Montgomery, Texas where she resided for the last 20 years. Patty was a happy child who smiled and laughed constantly. She made friends with all who met her and quickly bonded with them. Those who became her friend was her friend for life and her loyalty was unmitigated. She graduated from Scarborough High School in Houston where she played the saxophone in the school marching band and excelled as a champion swimmer on the school’s swim team. After her school years, Patty became a nurse and spent the next twenty years of her life in the profession of caring for the elderly, sick and frequently impoverished. Patty had an old guitar that she played frequently, entertaining herself and her sisters for many hours when they were young. She loved playing poker and going to the horse races. She was a very happy winner but not so nice when she was a loser. “Oh boy” did she hate to lose! Patty always pulled for the underdog and gave help to whomever and wherever it was needed. A very special person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Patty is survived by her Mother and Father, Ronald and Gina Cowe, Sister Della Overholt and husband Bobby, Sister Kelly Glazier and husband Bill, Sister Renee Habegger and husband David, Sister Lauren Farris and husband Dustin, brother Logan Cowe and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 11am in the Chapel at Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home in Willis. Burial will follow at Smith Memorial Park in Willis adjacent to funeral home. You are invited to leave a written condolence on our website at www.shmfh.com.
