William A. Moss, 91, of Winnsboro, Texas passed away on November 19, 2020 at his home. Mr. Moss was born on November 4, 1929 in Pittsburg to the late John Allen Moss and Myrtle Cheshire Moss. He was also preceded in death by his wife Ruby Moss in 2018, step-father John Allen, son William A. Moss, Jr., brothers T.J. Moss, Charles Moss, sisters Jean Wilson and Margie Burcalow. Mr. Moss is survived by sons John Moss, Billy Moss (Melissa), Richard Moss (Eveleen), Rickey Moss (Crystal); daughters Delilah Brown (Mark), Peggy Lilley (Tony) and Diana Leverton; 36 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. Mr. Moss was a self employed carpenter and home builder. William built many homes around Camp, Franklin,Titus and Wood counties in his life. He was dependable in his trade and worked very very hard. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 24th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Beaty Funeral Home in Winnsboro. The funeral will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 25, 2020 in the chapel of Beaty Funeral Home. Bro. Perry Shirley and Bro. Phil Greenawalt to officiate. Burial will follow in Matinburg Cemetery.
