He was born in Lawrence County on July 2, 1893 to the late Martin and Nellie Ridgley. He was also preceded in death by one daughter. He was married to Martha Kotecki in 1931 , -Survivors are his wife; daughter Jane Milam of Herrin and son Don of Marion; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; . sisters Lucille Houser and Lena Webster of Sumner and Modena Shephard of Robinson. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. "Wednesday at the Mitchell Funeral Home in Marion. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.
