Charity Lee Koch, daughter of Russell and Marie Koch, was born May 20, 1978. Her early years were spent in rural Brook Park where she attended Mora Public Schools and Grasston Christian Academy. During her high school years she participated in choir, speech, cheerleading, cross country, track, drama, yearbook staff, and was a teacher's aide. She was also in German club and spent 21 days in Germany after graduation. She graduated from Hinckley – Finlayson High School in 1996.

She attended Cambridge Community College while working part-time as a press operator for Plastec Corporation in Rush City. After a semester, she decided college was not for her and began working fulltime. While working, she lived in Braham, North Branch, Finlayson, Pine City, Sandstone and Rutledge. She met Cameron Clark and they began dating. Charity changed jobs and began working in the finance department at the casino.
On May 25, 2000 she gave birth to Evelyn Arianna Koch. Her daughter has been the highlight of her life since her birth.

Charity was a very friendly outgoing person who touched many lives. She will be missed by her family as well as her many friends. Charity died on Wednesday October 18, 2000 at the age of 22. She was preceded in death by: her grandmother Vera Koch and her sister Arianna Koch. She is survived by: her daughter Evelyn Arianna Koch, her parents Russell and Marie Koch, special friend Cameron Clark, brothers; Nathan and Melissa of Ogilvie, Matthew and Jess of Brook Park, Jordan at home. Sisters: Krystina and Matt at home, Megan at home, Gabriel at home. Maternal grandparents are Clinton and Gladys White of Brook Park. Paternal Grandparents are Elmer and Vi Koch of Columbia Heights, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also surviving.

Funeral services were held on Monday October 23, 2000 at First Presbyterian Church in Mora at 2:00 p.m. with Ken Dalbey and Mike Norton officiating. Krysti Koch and Alice Nelson furnished music. Casketbearers were, Darren Wilson, Phil Lange, Scotty Graber, Matt Mensing, Joe Rick, Shawn Wigs. Interment was in Brook Park Cemetery, Brook Park, Minnesota. Arrangements were made by Akkerman – Ingebrand Funeral Home – Mora, MN.
