Jason Manning, 41, died suddenly on Friday, June 27, 2014 at his home in Waldorf, MD.

Jason was born in Alexandria, VA. He attended Mt. Vernon HS and graduated from Edison HS, then attended Horry-Georgetown Technical College in South Carolina. He worked in the telecommunications industry in the metropolitan area for many years. Jason was a man with a great heart, who loved his family and had a passion for rescuing dogs that needed a loving home.

His father, George Manning and his grandmother, Sophie Mowbray predeceased him.

Survivors include his grandfather, Jack Mowbray; his mother, Evelyn Manning,; his wife, Regina Manning; his children David Warriner and Regina Wilson; his sister, Shana Higginbotham; his nephews Tyler and Jeremy Higginbotham; his nieces, Amber Higginbotham and Emily Ferlmann; his aunt, Janice Menker; and his cousins Tom and Steve Menker.

Visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home in Alexandria on Friday, July 4 from 2-5 p.m. The funeral service and reception will be held on Saturday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 6510 Fort Hunt Rd, Alexandria, VA. Interment will follow in Fairfax Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charles County Humane Society.
