Eulene Conley was born December 9, 1938, in Tom, Oklahoma to Virgie Martin and Walter Austin Hightower. She was the youngest of eight siblings. At the age of 12, she moved to San Jose, CA with her family and attended San Jose High School. In 1955, she married Smokey Conley when he returned from the Korean War. They lived in Oklahoma and Colorado in the early years and settled in Paradox, CO for 22 years. In 1978, they moved to Dolores, Colorado, and lived there full time until 1995.

She is survived by her two older sisters, Tina Oman and Mary Johnson; her three children, Benjy Conley, Flame Conley Weinmaster, and Ember Conley; her grandchildren, Broc Smith, Drake Smith, Smoki Suckla, and Delynger Conley; and her great-grandchildren Kutler Smith, Kennedy Smith, and Vivian Smith. Coming from a large family, she cherished her family above all else and her family loved her deeply.

While she will be missed on this earth, we know that she is at peace with her Heavenly Father. She is preceded in death by her husband, Smokey Conley, and their daughter, Starla Conley, with whom she will rest in the Paradox Cemetary in Paradox, Colorado. A small family celebration was held on November 7, 2020.
