Roberta K. Martin, 63, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2020 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg, KS. Roberta was born January 26, 1957 in Newton, IA to George and Dorothy Lucille “Grau” Minard. She has been a Carthage resident for the past 30 years, attended Grace Assembly of God Church for over 15 years and was employed by Mercy Hospital for over 12 years, after which she ran a home daycare center.
Roberta was united in marriage to Dennis Martin on July 30, 1976 in Knoxville, IA; he survives.
Roberta is also survived by three daughters, Felicia Schmidly (Matt) of Republic, MO, Tamara Cox (Mark) of Little Rock, AR and Heather Reed (Robert) of Carthage; one brother, Jim Minard of Texas; two sisters, Georgia Moller of Oklahoma and Becky McMullin (Roberta’s twin) of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Will Schmidly, Kaytlin Schmidly, Reagan Schmidly, Stella Schmidly, Audrey Schmidly, Nathan Filek and Jill Reed.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2020 at Ulmer Funeral Home. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at Park Cemetery.
