The interment will follow at The Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Sister Dennis traded time for eternity shortly before midnight on Monday, November 2, 2020.
She was the wife of Reverend Matthew Dennis, Jr., Pastor of The Ebenezer Baptist Church in Eatonton, Georgia. She served as Leading Lady and President of the Women's Ministry. Geraldine had over twenty five years of Law Enforcement experience in Baldwin County. She has served as Past President of The Ministers' Wives and Widows of Baldwin County and Vicinity, State Reporter for The Georgia Association of Ministers' Wives and Widows, Worthy Matron of Baldwin Chapter 486 Order of Eastern Star, 2nd Vice President of Women for Union Baptist Missionary and Education Association, and Life Link Volunteer for Organ and tissue donations. She was recognized as The Citizen of the Year of Baldwin County.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased in death by aunts; Christene Griswold Saulsbury, Juanita Griswold Finney and Josephine Hood Griswold; brothers-in-law; Terrel O. Simmons and Herbert L. Ingram.
