Buried in Miner Cemetery, Doss Community, Dent, Missouri. A 1900 census in Laudedale County, Alabama, shows a Charles Broadfoot, along with an Edward, James T. Robert S, Robert B, Thomas and a William. There is also a homestead record on 5/1/60 showing him homesteading 80 acres in Section 2, 17N 3W. Booklet authored by Luther Burchinal has as daughter to Charles, "Laura", stipulating that she is not mentioned in family records and therefore Laura must be the middle name of one of the daughters. There was no "Laura" born to Charles and Josephine. Burchinal states this Laura married Mr. Majors and resided at Hannibal, Missouri, according to the Dent County History, Vol III p 421. This Laura is probably Charles's sister. Birth and death dates for children of Charles leonard Broadfoot were taken from the Broadfoot family bible owned by James Henderson, now owned by Dane Elmo Broadfoot, grandson of James Henerson. Charles Leonard was named for his grandfather.
