Howard Jessie Ratliff, age 82, passed away Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020 at the Prestonsburg Healthcare and Rehab Center. Howard was born on Dec. 15, 1937 to his parents the late Stoney Ratliff and Ona Mae Blackburn Ratliff. He was the husband of the late Gloria Louise Garrettson Ratliff, a farmer, and a believer of the Christian Faith.

Along with his wife and parents, Howard was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Ratliff, two brothers, Donnie Ratliff, Foster Ratliff, and one sister, JoAnn Edmonds.

Howard is survived by one daughter, Kristy (George) Ratliff McCown, one son, Michael Ray (Linda) Ratliff, one brother, Hillard Ratliff, four grandchildren, Tiffany, Arianna, Tristan, and Jeremiah, four great grandchildren, Howard, Donna, Gabriel, Benjamin, and a host of loving family and friends.

Visitation will be Friday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, Nov. 21, 2020 at 11a.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Kenneth Childers and Tim McClanahan officiating. Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery at Lower Johns Creek.
