Jack was born on April 7, 1928 in Wellington, Texas to Thomas and Laura Talley. He was a proud 1945 graduate of North Dallas High School, where he excelled in football and track. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Methodist University. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Jack married Juana Mae Busby on December 17, 1955 at the First Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Jack was a geologist and worked at Amoco for 39 years. He was passionate about rocks and exploration and he always took a rock pick with him on family vacations to Colorado. He was an avid tennis player.
Jack's greatest joy in life was teaching Sunday School and serving the Lord as a deacon in whatever church the family were members of. He became a member of Lakeside Baptist Church when he moved to Granbury. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Juana Mae Talley, great-granddaughter: Skyler, and brother-in-law: Bob Brown.
Jack is survived by his sons: Kerry Talley and spouse Tuan Tran, James Talley and wife Leigh Ann, grandchildren: Ashley Wrenn and husband Mark, Chandler Talley, Emily Talley, Kristin Cook and husband Aaron, Michael Singleton and wife Whitney, and Cameron Singleton and wife Emily, great-grandchildren: Landree, Everleigh, Jayden, David and Shelby, sister: Lavoin Brown, and many nieces and nephews.
