Chico Record (Chico, California) 15 Jun 1928, Friday Page 4: Glenn County Pioneer Dies At Home Here. Mrs. Artie Macy Forman, 84, one of Glenn County’s pioneer residents and a native of Iowa, died at her home at 1316 Hemlock street last night at 7:30. She had resided in Chico only three weeks.
Mrs. Forman moved to California 67 years ago, and had spent most of that time at Newville, in the Coast Range foothills of Glenn County. She was a member of the Baptist Church there.
She is survived by a brother, Lee Bishop, for many years an employee of the Parrott-Phelan ranch, and a son, Charles Forman of Newville. Six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral arrangements, under the direction of the Bicknell & Moore Funeral Home, will be held at the Newville cemetery Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock.
