Graveside services for Desiree Cruz, age 29 of Seagraves, Texas will be held Friday, November 20, 2020 at Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ovidio Martinez, Jr. officiating, and Father Jose De Dios Gonzalez conducting the Catholic Committal. All services are the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Desiree Cruz was born in Seminole, Texas on March 22, 1991 to Martha (Brionez) and Jose Cruz, Jr. She was Catholic and worked for Yoakum County Hospital in the billing and decoding department. Desiree was outgoing, always smiling, and had a big heart. She enjoyed pulling pranks on people and listening to music. Her family brought out the best in her, but her children were the stars in her crown.
Ms. Cruz passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Leticia Cruz in 2015; her great-grandmother, Josefina Brionez in 1999; and another great-grandmother, Maria Gonzalez in 2005. She is survived by two daughters, Janessa Renee Cruz, and Analisa Nicole Cruz both of Seagraves; her father, Jose Cruz, Jr. of Sundown, Texas; one brother, Jose Marcos Antonio Cruz and wife Suzanna of Seagraves, Texas; her fiancé, Harley Brown of Midland, Texas; maternal grandparents, Manuel and Irene Alarcon of Ft. Worth, Texas; and her paternal grandparents, Jose Cruz, Sr. of Karnes City, Texas, and Adela Cruz of Levelland, Texas.
