Chad David Martin entered this world on January 3, 1977, in Listowel, Ontario to Melvin and Margaret (Good) Martin, the oldest of two sons and passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020, at Bryan West Medical Center in Lincoln at the age of 43.

Nearly 3 years later he became a big brother when Jeff arrived. Many birthday celebrations were shared with his cousins, Shawn and Lavon, as they were each born 6 weeks apart. Over the years, the family enjoyed many camping trips together. As a young boy, Chad attended Mornington Central Elementary School and later graduated from Listowel District Secondary School with the class of 1995. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized at Woodlawn Mennonite Fellowship on October 3, 1993. Chad was employed with a John Deere Dealership in Elmira, Ontario, later worked for Paul and Mirium Martin on their dairy farm. He also was employed for Brian Brubacher as delivery driver. He moved to Nebraska in 1999 where he was later united in marriage Marilyn Schweitzer and to this union four children were born: Brandon, Marci, Jessica and Erica. Together they lived west of Milford where he worked at NIFCO Mechanical where he installed fire sprinklers for almost 21 years. He was a member of the West Fairview Mennonite Church where he gladly led the congregation in singing. Chad was often seen working on his tractors or mowing. Chad was a hard-worker, had a great sense of humor, was a conscientious man who lived what he believed and loved his family with all his heart.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, children, Brandon, Marci, Jessica and Erica, father, Melvin Martin, Millbank, ON, his now mom, Sharon Martin, also of Millbank, parents-in-law, Kevin and Charleen Schweitzer, Milford, sisters-in-law, Carol (Shane) Bennett, Richland Center, WI, Anita (Peter) Burkey, Beaver Crossing, brother-in-law, Nevin Schweitzer, Fort Collins, CO, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Martin, a step-mother, Lucy Martin, and a brother, Jeff Martin.
