Earl Wayne Stewart, 68, of Matheny, WV passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020, at Welch Community Hospital, Welch, WV. Earl was a member of the UMWA.
He was born on March 2, 1952 in Matheny, WV to the late Joseph "Forest" Stewart (1912-1984) and Sadie Dora Stewart-Stewart-Cline (1922-2014). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a sister, Lola Jane Stewart-Stewart (1945-2011); a brother, David Forest Stewart (1950-2020); a brother-in-law, Randy Kennedy (Deceased); a niece, Kara Locke (Deceased); and his father-in-law Bernard A. Bailey, Sr. (Deceased).
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Alice Lynn Bailey-Stewart; a son, Gregory Earl Stewart of Matheny; a grandchild, Gaberial Stewart; three sisters, Linda Stewart-Counts & husband Jack Counts, Lakie Stewart-Bailey & husband Bernard A. Bailey Jr., and Rhonda Lynn Stewart-Stewart & husband Sam Stewart; three brothers. Ash Prince Stewart (B. 1941), Windell Stewart (B. 1956) & wife Brenda Stewart and Dale Robert Stewart & wife Teresa Stewart; and a host of other loving family and friends.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated.
