Lila May Scott, 89, of Boone, Iowa passed away at the Eastern Star Masonic Home in Boone on Friday, November 13, 2020 where she had been a resident since July of 2020.

Lila was born on May 5, 1931 in Boone, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Brown) Woodruff. On January 20, 1951 she married Wendell E. Scott in Newton, Iowa. Lila was a stay at home mother and housewife throughout her life.

Lila was a member of the Salvation Army Church and the Boone Moose Lodge. She enjoyed listening to country music and going to karaoke to listen to her children sing. Lila also enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. She loved her two furry friends, Pooh and Lady.

Lila was preceded in death by her parents; husband Wendell; two brothers; three sisters; granddaughter Jody Smith, and her husband James; grandson Ricky Scott; son in law Larry Smith, and daughter in law Barb Scott.

She is survived by her daughters: Dianna (Chuck) Ray of Pilot Mound; Linda Galvan of Boone; Patty (Mike) Myers of Grand Junction; Patsy Smith of Boone; son - Ron Scott of Boone; 31 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren and was a grandmother to many others. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
