Marlene Carolyn Hutchinson Robinson (December 4th, 1934 - June 19, 2017) died from cardiac arrest at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines on Monday.
The funeral will be Saturday, June 24th, at 3:30 PM at Adams Funeral Home, 502 Douglas Ave, Ames, IA 50010.
Marlene was blessed with eighty-two years of life. She was married for over sixty years to Dr. Eugene Robinson and lived in Ames for over fifty years. She was the daughter of D. Erwin and Birdie Hutchinson of Nebraska, was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, and had a Master's Degree in Child Development from Purdue University. Marlene dedicated her life to providing creative and fun learning experiences to the children of Central Iowa for over fifty years. She continued to hear of the positive impact she had on children and families throughout her life.
Marlene was mother to Doug (& Monica Booe) Robinson, Sharna (& Mike) Igou, Michelle Robinson, Scott Robinson, Mark (& Kathy) Robinson, and Matthew (& Kaycee) Robinson. She was grandmother to Kira, Jackson, Calvin, Bridgit, and Megan. Marlene was sister to Cara Perkins, Erwina Peterson, David Hutchinson, and Marjorie Engelkemier.
