Patricia and Richard Levine married on August 25th, 1956, young and in love they discovered they grew up only blocks from each other in Amsterdam, NY. They spent their early years in Binghamton and Rochester NY before settling in Buffalo where they raised four children. They moved to Wheaton in 1986 and lived on Farnham Lane for 35 years.

As a mother, she was busy with four of us but always made each of us feel special. She was always very proud of all we accomplished in our lives. Susan Bachraty, Lauren, Chris and Todd all survive mom. She will always be in our hearts and we treasure our wonderful memories like her sunning herself in the backyard while we swam and then dried off lying bare-bellied on the hot concrete driveway. Mom’s mantra for us was "if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all.”

Once the four children were in school, Mom worked in the Baby Furniture business with Dad and spent 40 years in all aspects of the industry including manufacturing, retail and importing which took them to Italy and other European countries many times over the years. Pat was the compliance officer of the retail franchise operation called USA Baby which grew into a 60 store chain. To say our parents were attached at the hip wouldn’t quite fit the bill. They are and always will be joined in a loving, unbreakable union.

Patricia was the daughter of Helen and Tony Senese, born May 3rd, 1938. Her sister Kathy passed away many years ago in Amsterdam, NY. Patricia was shortened to Pat for most of her life, except as a child when she was called Patty at home.

Pat always had an eye for fashion and was only too happy to learn of a little thing called “layaway”. She saved the money she earned working her first job at the local movie theater and never looked back. She saw fashion as art and she wore it well her whole life. She stood out in a crowd and was always in tune with or ahead of the trends. Her artistic nature extended to painting with pastels when she could find quiet moments apart from raising four children.

Pat's calm demeanor and always pleasant attitude made her a favorite amongst friends and colleagues. She was a loyal friend to many but Pat and Dick’s lifetime friendship with Kat and Mike Joyce was one for the books! They enjoyed many trips, frequent visits and lots and lots of laughs over the years. Mom shared her love of reading with all of us but she, Susan, Chris, Charley and her friend Rochelle loved discussing and sharing books with each other.

She loved her 9 grandchildren Adrianne, Kristen, Allison, Katie, Ethan, Joshua, Natalie, Alan and Elisa. And her 6 great grandchildren; Trystain, Jonah, Mayzie, Cecilia, Jack and Eleanor. The family is excited about Allison and Natalie expecting and we look forward to welcoming our new family members this summer. Pat welcomed and loved with great devotion; Mike (Susan), Elizabeth (Chris), Marta (Todd), Kariem (Natalie), Brandon (Adrianne), Scottie (Kristen), Charley (Katie) and Cam (Allison), all of whom joined the family over the years by marriage.

We all feel so fortunate that our lives were enriched for so many years by a truly beautiful women and devoted wife, mother and friend. Pat always appreciated life’s gifts. Mom’s one of a kind smile, her sly wit, her compassion and her always positive outlook on life inspired everyone she met. We look forward to honoring her legacy with our joyful, lasting memories.
