Sister Essie Mae Jackson, the daughter of Jim and Maggie Ross, was born in Leesburg, GA, on October 2, 1929.

She later moved to Florida where she received her formal education, graduating from the Titusville Negro High School in 1948.

She also met and married Jim Jackson.

She joined Bethlehem Baptist Church which she loved and served faithfully until failing health prevailed.

Sister Jackson's spirit was as beautiful on the inside as the outside. She was nurturing, loving, and giving to all who knew her. Her beautiful smile was an inspiration to many. She loved her family with the heart of GOD. She truly worshipped and loved our Lord.

On Thursday, November 12, 2020, our Heavenly Father called his angel, Sister Essie Mae Jackson, home to be with him. She fought a good fight, she finished her course and she kept the faith; (2 Timothy 4:7).

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Solomon Ross; and her loving husband, Jim.

She leaves to cherish precious memories with one daughter, Linda Lorraine; six sons: Maurice (Dionne), James (Debra), Lefonza, Mark (Idella), Bernard, and Wayne (Tonya); over 90 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and sorrowing friends.
