Mrs. Elizabeth Alston Murray affectionately known as “Eliza Ann” entered a new life in Christ on November 14, 2020 at the age of 70. She was born on February 24, 1950 in Moss Point, MS to the union of Mr. Junior Lee, Sr. and Mrs. Nellie Ruth Lee.
Elizabeth graduated with the Class of 1970 at Magnolia High School, Moss Point, MS.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at First Missionary Baptist Church of Moss Point where she was a faithful member. She attended Sunday School with the Class of #20 also, a member of the Church Choir where she sang Hymns of Praises to our Almighty God. Even though her health began to fail, she was determined to hear her cross while encouraging other about life.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Mr. Simon and Mrs. Eliza Robbins; aunts, Mrs. Rosie R. Cobbs and Mrs. Lucille Deshields; uncle, Mr. Dock Robbins.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her devoted husband, Mr. Anthony Murray and her son, P.L. Mitchell; nephew (she raised as her own), Milton Thompson of California; sisters, Minister Annie Williams, Nellie Lee and Naomi Lee; brothers, Johnny, William, Jerry, Aaron, Junior Lee, Jr. all of California; sisters-in-laws, Cheryl Borden and Angela (Dwright) Harper of Moss Point, MS and Cherrie (Jermaine) Powe of Dallas, Texas; brother-in-law, Kelvin Murray of Moss Point, MS; very devoted cousin, Mr. Wilbert (Regina) Deshields; cousins, Helen Joe, Kenneth (Inez) Deshields, Warren (Katherine) Deshields, Tom (Georgia) Robbins and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, numerous caregivers and many friends.
Elizabeth being a compassionate person who loved her church and family will be greatly missed.
