William Charles McCoy, (Mac) age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Sunday December 2, 2018. He was born October 13, 1937 in Silver Cliff, Colorado.
Mac is survived by his wife, Lela M. McCoy, son Bill McCoy, daughter Lori McCoy, sisters Doris Fontenot and Myrlene Dean, grandchildren Andrew McCoy and Dawn McCoy.

He was preceded in death by; brother W. Lawrence McCoy and sister Evelyn Fontenot.

Mac was a part of the security police team with the Air Force for many years. Later in life, he helped with the maintenance needs of First United Methodist Church in Montgomery. Charles (as his brothers and sisters called him) enjoyed football, crafts and gardening. Many perfect afternoons were spent sitting on the back porch sipping sweet tea and watching the birds clustered around his feeders.

A visitation for Mac will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, AL 36109. A celebration of life will occur Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home.
