Anthony “Tony” J. Harris, 35, Indian Name, Siiwonei or Boat passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020. A rosary and wake will be 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at 777 Ethete Road. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 19, 2020 at the Shakespeare Cemetery.

Anthony James Harris was born May 16, 1985 in Lander, WY to Vernita Joyce Shakespeare and William Anthony Harris. He was a member of the Catholic Faith. He lived most of his life on the Wind River Indian Reservation except a couple years in Cheyenne, WY. He graduated from Wyoming Indian High School with the class of 2004 and attended Haskell Indian Nations University for one year.

Tony was a member of the traditional club, rodeo club, and the High Eagle Drum Group. During high school he won state in cross country and track. He participated in the Montana / Wyoming Border War for cross country in 2002.

He worked as a pipe liner in construction and labor for the tribes.

He is survived by his son, Kyler Friday; God-daughter, Miracle Manzanares; parents, Vernita Shakespeare and Andrew Fergueson; grandparents, Kenneth “Bobby” Shakespeare, Essie and Fenton “Jim Skillings”; brother, Ludell Fergueson and all of his first cousins that he took in as brothers and sisters; sisters, Neomi and Wally and RayAnn and Ruben; uncles, R.J. Shakespeare and Darrell O’Neal; aunts, Vicki Shakespeare, Lynelle Shakespeare, Lori Harris and Viola Harris; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, William A. Harris; grandparents, Marvin and Irene Harris, Josephine Shakespeare, Big Rock Shakespeare, Angela Antelope Shakespeare; aunts, Justina Shakespeare, Donna Antelope and Karen Harris; uncle, Dallas Shakespeare.
