Larry Koch 83 of Absarokee, MT, on Saturday March 7, 2015 went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Larry Odell Koch was born in Hastings, Nebraska July 16, 1931 to Chris and Lydia Rehn Koch of Campbell, Nebraska. He was baptized into the Christian Faith in 1931, and confirmed into the Lutheran Faith in 1954.

Larry married Kay Hormann May 8, 1952 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Billings, MT during his delay in route to Korea for service in the Army. His work for the US Smelting, Refining and Mining Co. took him and his family from Billings to Salt Lake City then to Denver and Midland, TX. They returned to Billings in 1966 when he went to work for the Bureau of Land Management until retirement in 1992. They moved to Absarokee in 1994. Together they raised five children, Patrice, Mark, Randy, Chris and Julie who were all deeply loved. They cherished their 11 grandchildren, Cullen, Stephen, Jamie, Kimberly, John, Nigel, Sophia, Jacob, Cori, Amber and Jenny, great-grandchildren Jordan and Franklin.

Larry always enjoyed his work including occasionally working for Cenex Pipeline Company during retirement and maintaining the family automobile and yard. He also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family and a game of cards with friends. He had a great love for his family and his savior Jesus Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Sidney and Oliver.

Larry is survived by his wife Kay, daughters: Patrice (Doug) Greenfield, FL, and children Cullen (Christen) and Stephen and Julie (Perry) Robbins, CO, and children Nigel and Sophia, sons Chris Koch of CA, Randy (Teri) Koch, CA, and children Kimberly, Cori, Amber and Jennifer and their mother Elizabeth Koch, Mark (Julie) Koch, WA, and children Jamie (Dustin), John (Katelin) and Jacob. He is also survived by his brother Richard (Marsha) Koch and many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

Visitation will be Tuesday March 10, 2015 at Smith Funeral Chapel in Columbus from 4-7 p.m., the funeral service will be Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Absarokee, MT at 11:00a.m. Interment will follow at 3:00p.m. at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Billings.
